BIO ADDITIVE
PMJ is the manufacturer of P-life brand with biogradable additive BIO P-life product. P-life is a biogradable additive which creates a chemical environment, allowing polyethylene material to decompose into carbon dioxide, water and neutral, non-toxic substance, then being assimilated into the environment.
Decomposition process of P-life At the end of plastic product life cycle, plastics with P-life additives start decomposing under natural circumstances with sunlight, temperature and oxygen.
In this stage, P-life products become brittle and naturally assimilated by microorganisms. Oxidation of P-life products is proven by many abiotic experiments including thermal heat and UV light under ASTM standards and GPC analysis on atomic mass.
- Stage 2: this is the stage when products of stage 1 with low atomic weight begins to decompose. Oxidation and reduction results in biological assimilation under soil or composting conditions.
In this stage, plastics components is degraded by microorganisms, and the results of this process are carbon dioxide (CO2), water (H2O) and mass generated from metabolism process of microorganisms.
